The exhibition “happening. unfolding.” by Henry Dean showcases the artist’s multifaceted approach to art, combining elements from drawing, journaling, and sketching as its foundation. Dean, known for his work in installations, paintings, sculptures, mixed media, photography, and video, draws inspiration from his interactions with nature and humanity. Through this exhibition, Dean continues to “unfold” his exploration of patterns and meanings, focusing on the importance of attentiveness and context. His art practice is deeply responsive, incorporating elements of history, philosophy, and geography to create a rich tapestry of visual and conceptual narratives.

Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum—an acclaimed museum dedicated to celebrating and preserving America’s maritime legacy—is delighted to present “Beyond the Plate: Sea and Sky,” an exciting new solo exhibition featuring nautical-inspired, mixed-media art by Rob Strati, from September 25, 2025 through April 12, 2026.
“Beyond the Plate” will showcase new work by one of America’s hottest contemporary artists. Strati has recently enjoyed sold-out exhibits at Duane Reed Gallery in St. Louis and FREMIN Gallery in New York and has sold work to top international art collectors in New York, London, Hong Kong, Dubai and beyond. Strati’s art incorporates broken porcelain plates that have been embellished and adorned with creative details. The exhibition features the artist’s latest bold, kinetic mixed-media works and limited-edition prints as well as an ambitious site-specific installation that will be suspended from the ceiling of the Ships of the Sea atrium.
Strati’s latest series was inspired by a porcelain plate from his wife’s late mother, which accidentally fell and broke into fragments. In order to preserve the shards of the shattered plate, and the memory of someone vitally important to both him and his wife, the artist began working on his “Fragmented” series, using pen and paper to “explore the possibilities of things broken and the stories that can evolve from the pieces left behind.”
Each piece of Strati’s art starts with the breaking of a porcelain plate and takes approximately two weeks to complete. Although the artist is rigorous about his creative process, he always allows space for spontaneous ideas to emerge from the fragments. Over time, he has learned important lessons about art and life by creating new works of art from broken shards.
Strati describes his work as a “mix of chaos and control” that is constantly evolving. He hopes his upcoming exhibition at Ships of the Sea will inspire visitors to think about time, creativity and beauty in fresh, new ways. All of the art in “Beyond the Plate” will be available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum.
ABOUT ROBERT STRATI: Originally from Boston, Strati grew up in Columbus, Ohio and earned a B.A. in History of Art from Ohio State University. His art has been exhibited at leading international museums and art galleries and has been featured in The Art Newspaper, Whitehot Magazine, Reclaim, Beaux Arts, Sculpture Magazine, Vice and The Village Voice. Strati’s work and “Beyond the Plate” will also be featured in ARTS Southeast’s fall issue of IMPACT Magazine in October 2025.

Tell Every Amazing Lady® Hosts 12th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk™ Tell Every Amazing Lady® is excited to announce its 12th Annual Walk in Savannah set for Saturday, September 27th at Lake Mayer Park in Savannah, GA. Since 2009, T.E.A.L.®, also known as Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer Louisa M. McGregor Ovarian Cancer Foundation, has been spreading awareness and raising funds to promote a cure for ovarian cancer while supporting survivors and their families. A fun and engaging way to spread awareness, this Walk™ Program also celebrates and honors the strength of survivors and their families touched by ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer has no accurate screening test, so the funds raised during the event allow us to continue raising awareness, supporting our members, and fighting for a cure. With your support, T.E.A.L.®’s efforts will continue to expand with increased awareness and support for those impacted by this disease.
How you can participate in the Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk™: To support T.E.A.L.®, and anyone touched by ovarian cancer, register to walk, fundraise, form a team, or join a team for the Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk™. You can also look out for our hashtags on social media! #TealWalk #TellEveryAmazingLady
To Register: Register for either the in-person walk, or the walk anywhere package at www.tealwalk.org/savannah. Depending on registration type, pricing will vary from $35 -$50. Participants will get a shareable donation link to help raise funds for this important cause.
Can’t join us? Donate! If you can’t join us for the walk, contribute to the cause by donating at www.tealwalk.org/savannah Address this important women’s health issue head-on at the Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk™ and let’s elevate women’s health – together

Join One Love Animal Rescue for our bi-monthly Adoption Event at Petco! Meet adorable pets looking for their forever homes and learn how you can make a difference.
As we are a foster home based rescue, not all of our adoptable animals will be at every single event. If there is a specific pet you are interested in meeting, we recommend submitting a pre-adoption application ahead of time. That will allow us time to approve the application prior to the event and arrange for the specific pet to attend the event.
Our adoptable animal gallery can be found on our website at: https://oneloveanimalrescue.com/animal-gallery
